President Donald Trump is expected to make his fourth trip to Texas this election cycle on Tuesday, October 27, rallying Republican voters in Corpus Christi and Lubbock as early voting continues ahead of Election Day on November 3.
Vice President JD Vance will also appear in Texas this week, rallying support in Weatherford.
Two stops in one day
Trump will start his day in Corpus Christi, where doors open at 10:30 a.m. CT, the program begins at 12:30 p.m. and his remarks are scheduled for 2 p.m. He will end the day in Lubbock, where doors open at 2:30 p.m. and remarks begin at 6 p.m.
The Texas swing follows Trump's rally on Monday night in Corinth, Mississippi, for Senator Cindy Hyde-Smith, and comes as Republicans make a final push to turn out voters with a week to go.
A state Trump keeps returning to
Trump previously traveled to Denton on October 1 and to San Antonio on October 7, stumping for Republican candidate Ken Paxton in the nationally watched Texas U.S. Senate race. He also visited Dallas in September for the Republican Midterm Convention.
With Democrats now strongly favored to win control of the House and on offense in Senate races that once looked safe, the Texas trip underlines how the final week of the campaign is being fought on Republican turf as much as Democratic ground.
