The rest of the early window of NFL Week 8 on Sunday, November 1, was just as wild as the first batch of finals: the Las Vegas Raiders came back to beat the New York Jets 38-33, the Cincinnati Bengals survived an overtime shootout with the Tennessee Titans 43-36, the Buffalo Bills routed the Baltimore Ravens 36-10, and the Pittsburgh Steelers crushed the Cleveland Browns 27-6.
In East Rutherford, the Raiders snapped a four-game losing streak. New York led 23-14 at halftime and 30-21 in the third quarter, but Las Vegas outscored the Jets 17-3 the rest of the way. With Breece Hall out, Braelon Allen ran for a career-high 147 yards and a touchdown for the Jets, Adonai Mitchell had a career-high 142 receiving yards and a touchdown, and Geno Smith threw for 290 yards and two scores — but New York settled for four field goals.
In Cincinnati, Joe Burrow accounted for six touchdowns: five through the air and the winner on the ground. Tennessee led 13-0 after the first quarter behind a 40-yard touchdown run from Tony Pollard, and led 36-29 with 3:52 left after Cam Ward hit Wan'Dale Robinson for a 15-yard touchdown and Gunnar Helm for the two-point conversion. Burrow answered with an 18-yard touchdown pass to Tee Higgins with 1:21 to play, then won it in overtime by scrambling nine yards for the touchdown himself. Burrow threw for 462 yards on 38-of-48 passing, with three interceptions; Higgins caught 10 passes for 155 yards and two touchdowns, and Ja'Marr Chase caught 11 for 141 yards and one score. Cincinnati improved to 5-2, while Tennessee fell to 1-7.
In Orchard Park, Buffalo beat Baltimore 36-10. Josh Allen threw for 289 yards and two touchdowns as the Bills improved to 6-1. Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson left the game because of a thumb injury on the first play, was replaced by Tyler Huntley, and was reported after the game as set to undergo surgery and go on injured reserve, according to his head coach.
In Pittsburgh, the Steelers advanced to 6-2 with a 27-6 domination of the Browns, leading 20-6 at halftime and never looking back.
